Building the dream occupation
What Makes Us Want to Work
In this session, we will examine why we work and leave you with some practical applications you may use to evolve into the vocation of your dreams.
Consider for a second that we labour in order to be happy.
Let us take a moment to unpack happiness.
Happiness is an individual experience.
Each person's definition of happiness is different.
Finally, it is founded on two key principles.
First, assess your societal contribution through your work and effort.
Second, the reward you receive from your work gives you a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment.
We may argue that one will be satisfied only when the output they put into the world is returned.
Everyone serves a function. They have a "Why" in their heart. You can never be satisfied at work until you pursue your goals (dream). Your true reason will drive you to conquer any hurdle.
Purpose is the most powerful instrument a man possesses. You can confront anything if you have a goal. Purpose provides hope. You die without hope. If you have genuine hope, you will never die or be defeated.
Defining work
This session's theme is Occupation.
When we study this term, we can see that it is derived from the root word "occupied."
Your occupation or work is what you do on a daily basis.
Some devote their time to educating others by sharing their knowledge, ability, or skill.
Others devote their time and energy to entertainment or amusement.
Hopefully, you are not someone who is preoccupied with mischievous or illegal behavior.
Your occupation is anything you engage yourself with.
So be cautious!
Seek Knowledge
You will need to educate yourself in order to complete your duty on this planet.
According to Hosea, a Hebrew Prophet who lived in the eighth century BC, "My People Perish Due to a Lack of Knowledge."
This is old advice that is still applicable today.
Knowledge that is not put to use is useless.
There, we must learn how to use it.
Education must be comprehensive, thus it will take place on three levels: body, soul, and spirit.
- Your spirit must be taught about its genuine identity. " You must understand who you are.
- Your mind must understand your goal.
- Your body must understand how you intend to proceed.
I.E. You must study to the best of your ability. Study to learn without boundaries... Both formal and informal education are required.
Last Word
Never let your surroundings limit you. Use anything you have on hand at the moment. Use it to grow, build, and progress.
